Annuity Honors a “Book Man”
Dr. John B. Trotti’s wife, Joan, chose to honor his love for books by establishing a charitable gift annuity with Union Presbyterian Seminary. As a result, the room housing the campus bookstore in the Global Mission Center for Christian Education will be named in his memory.
Having learned to love books and libraries at an early age, John worked always to provide “better books for the people that I love.” He was the seminary’s librarian for 34 years. John helped establish the International Book Project, a program that sends unneeded books from the seminary’s library to theological schools around the world. More than 135,000 volumes have been shipped to more than 100 theological schools around the world.
