As a PSCE student, Ginger Scott realized that gifts from many Presbyterians kept her class fees low. That realization is the fundamental reason she and her husband Tom continue to support Union today.
The son and grandson of Presbyterian ministers, Price Gwynn’s church service dated to his family’s residency on Union’s campus in 1926. He played a significant role in the creation of Union’s Charlotte campus.
Florence Sthreshley and her husband, Charles, both Union graduates, were dedicated to their ministry to teach, preach and worship with the Congolese people.
Dr. John B. Trotti’s wife, Joan, chose to honor his love for books by establishing a charitable gift annuity with Union. As a result, the space housing the campus bookstore will be named in his memory.
When Union received a surprise bequest of $1.4 million from the trust estate of Homer Gebhardt, the seminary had to do some digging to get to know its mysterious benefactor.
